The results of the American Heart Association 2020 Workplace Health Achievement Index were announced and Core Creative achieved SILVER level recognition for taking significant steps to build and maintain a culture of health in the workplace.
Our wellness team at Core puts a lot of hard work into this program to make sure it’s both rewarding and fun for our employees. Especially in 2020, the wellness committee has thought of creative ideas to spark participation while working remotely. Our culture teams, just like the wellness team, help guide the direction of our agency and build the values that make us who we are.
The Index is a web-based scorecard and was created in 2016 by the Associations’ CEO Roundtable members. This leadership collaborative is made up of more than 45 members who represent more than 13 million employees and their family members, with the common goal to implement evidence-based approaches to workplace health, empowering employees and building stronger corporate cultures.
The scorecard looks at organizational best practices and aggregates employee health data to evaluate the overall quality and comprehensiveness of workplace health programs.
Over 775 organizations across the country completed the Index assessment this year. Overall, 35% received gold recognition, 29% silver and 25% bronze. Recognition designations are determined by the degree to which organizations adhere to science-based best practices, as well as the overall heart health score of their employees.
