Core Creative was recognized for its partnership with Islands of Brilliance, a nonprofit organization that provides hands-on learning experiences for children and young adults on the autism spectrum.
Donovan Green, Core’s senior graphic designer & technology integrator, was featured in a FOX6 news segment highlighting the agency’s involvement with Islands of Brilliance through their recent Doodle Lounge. The Doodle Lounge is an online creative space where young artists can share their work, collaborate and create together, regardless of skill level.
Core has partnered with Islands of Brilliance for more than a decade, supporting its mission through mentorship, fundraising and event sponsorship. Green, who has served as a mentor throughout that time, helped bring the Doodle Lounge collaboration to life with the Core team as a way to spark creativity and connection outside of the work we do each day.
The most recent Doodle Lounge focused on “big sweater vibes,” inviting participants to interpret the theme and create art using a variety of mediums, including digital design tools, pipe cleaners and paper, encouraging creative expression in a supportive, casual environment.
“Creativity is something that you need to sharpen,” said Green. “Working with Islands of Brilliance is a meaningful way for us to live out our belief that creativity can connect, inspire and make an impact in our work and communities.”
